about

Hey I'm Lindsay.

My first, most important, and favorite job is teaching 4 little humans how to be good people.

My dream vacation is a week on Lake Powell in a luxury houseboat.  I've never missed an episode of Survivor but could never be on the show because I have an alternate personality that rears its ugly head when I'm hungry.  I have a crippling fear of birds or anything with wings.  I love to read, eat, run, and spend my days on the lake.

I am a photographer.  And now I am an aspiring writer.

I am mildly obsessed with the book "A million miles in a thousand years" by Donald Miller which initially inspired me to start this blog.

I am creating this space with my kids in mind.  A place to record what we do and why we do it.  The big stuff and the little stuff.  A space to show them our efforts as a family to live intentionally, with purpose.  Hopefully it will become a source of inspiration to them throughout their adults lives.  A place they can come for answers to simple and not so simple questions.  And most importantly, a place they can see we lived life on purpose, we dared greatly, and we said yes to adventure.

And hopefully this space will be useful to others as well.  I hope to create a community of people who want to end up somewhere on purpose, who aspire to live authentic, adventurous lives, and who recognize we all belong to each other.

I am married to a man who "gets" me and has always allowed me to be me, regardless of how frustrating that may be.  I have four kids.  Two girls and two boys.

As a family we love to camp (like, in a tent with no running water or toilets camp), boat, read, and laugh.  We laugh alot around here.  Mostly at ourselves.
